  • 22 year old Business student – A day to celebrate the end of segregation and embrace South Africa’s strength in unity.
  • 67 year old retired lecturer – “It means burying the hatchet, looking forward and forgetting the past”
  • 28 year old Lawyer – ” It’s about acknowledging, understanding, and appreciating people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • 45 year old police officer – ” To me it means to err is human and to forgive is divine.”
  • 55 year old nurse – ” Letting go of the grudge against each other and forgetting all the bad things that happened in the past. Now, both parties focus on the good things that are currently happening between them as well as maintaining that good relationship they have with one another.”
